I have three brand new ATP's coming my way, I should have them by next week.  I am looking for suggestions on what to do to them to void my warrenty ASAP

Never really messed with the Glock style guns before so please post up any links that would inspire me.  I ordered 3 ATP's, 2 spare mags, and 3 blackhawk sepra's so the things will have to fit the holster still after modifications.

The guns will be for me and my two boys, I plan to do some engraving on the slides for sure, but other than that I just dont have many ideas, help me out!

I hand cut a window in the top of mine. Similar to other Glock style pistols.

Well, if you want to try an FPS booster mod you could install a Hurricane power-up kit.  It has 3 parts: Enhanced recoil spring and guide rod, enhanced trigger spring, high flow valve.  The Idea is to allow more gas to flow by:

• Having a valve that delivers more gas
  
• A stronger hammer spring that helps to engage the valve appropriatly.

The enhanced spring guide is used to give a stronger recoil and is needed to absorb the power being sent through the cycle.


While the upside is enhanced recoil and higher FPS, the downsides are that you need to have the high flow valve in each mag and you are using more gas.

Thanks for the link gcw360, just ordered one from the pro shop, I will give it a try and post up how it works.  I was thinking about porting the slide but I really have to have the gun in my hands before making a descion, some guns look great with them and some are just fugly.

I will definitly be engraving the slides, I am just not sure on what yet.  Want to be able to tell them apart easily.

Anytime dobey.  The engraving sounds nice.  If I ever get reasonable access to a laser engraver I will get mine done.

my ideas-
-split slide (like a dessert eagle has)
-port the slide on the front 3 sides
-cut out side panels in the pistols grip
-strip paint and polish to make make alides pretty
- stock and pistol grip (make a carbine type thing)
- ehm.., out of ideas now

Well the KWA Pro shop wins again.  I got my power up kit today and the guns wont be here till tuesday lol.  I even ordered the stuff from KWA 2 days after I ordered the guns!  I love you guys.

Ordered the Pistols from GI, and the tune up kit from KWA, and the Holsters from LA Police Gear.  The pistols and the guns will both be here on the same day, but KWA just kicked their a** on customer service lol.

Some first impressions:

I pulled one out of the box and tried to gas it up with an Airsoft Innovations Propane Adapter (WARNING: this voids warrenty) and the nozzle wasnt quite long enough, I got about 4 shots from it before it was dead.  I then realised the nifty little button at the bottom of the bb trough that lets you slide the base plate right off.

I gased it up again and went to town, easily getting into the 50's counting how many times it would shoot (dry fire).

I did notice a bit of slide drag and trigger delay towads the end, but chaulked it up to low gas pressure and tried again.  As this was a torture tests of sorts I didnt let anything warm back up and did it again with a bit of frost on the mag.  Same thing but more pronounced.  Lots of slow (but full) slide cycles mixed with regular speed cycles.  And a bit of delay from trigger pull to slide cycle.

I attempted to oil things a bit with the supplied KWA oil and instantly noticed that the oil was very very heavy and sticky.  I can almost guarantee it was from the temperature (about 45 to 50 degrees in the shop).

Took it into the house, stripped it down and cleaned everything with toothbrush, warm water, and dish soap to remove all traces of the sticky oil.  I re-oiled with GHK silicone and the thing woke up!

Super fast cycles, super slick slide movement, and very very crisp trigger response!  I wonder if the poeple having problems with their ATP's were using the KWA oil in colder environments?  The stuff feels like honey at 45 degrees.  Thick and sticky.

I will have some pictures and chrono readings today but I dropped the Huricane kit in my gun and I am impressed!  Get this thing if you love your ATP stock, you will LOVE it on steroids!

May I ask, why do you need 3 ATP?

Just changing the recoil spring and guide rod to metal from the plastic on the first batch gives you a noticeable difference in recoil.

I have three:  One for me and one for each of my two sons.  These are the new ones for sure, they have metal spring guides and trigger safeties.
