Hello All,
So, I'm trying to get my SR10 to shoot just under or around 450fps with .20 BB's.  Here's what I've tried so far and the results...

-SR10 Has Edgi 425mm 6.01 barrel
OEM Spring (KWA 120)- shoots 400fps with .20 BB's
Guarder SP120 spring - shoots 475-485fps with .20 BB's
KWA M130 spring - shoots 475-485fps with .20 BB's

I hear compressing the spring really doesn't work and you won't get much of a drop in FPS if at all.  Hearing negative things about cutting the spring down as well.  I don't expect the Guarder or KWA M130 spring to settle down a full 25-30 fps so what else are my options?  Anyone get their SR10 to shoot in the range I'm looking for?  Thanks!

You may have to cut a Guarder SP120 bc I am getting 420fps with Guarder SP110.
Don't some brands like systema or Prometheus make springs like M125 and such?

Thanks Niko.  I'll probably go with a SP110 then.  420 is probably good enough.  Let me ask you though, did it settle at 420 fps or did it shoot a little hotter when first installed?  I'm hoping 420 after it settled.  Thanks

It should settle at about 410fps.
Don't forget to stretch out your piston O-ring while you have everything disassembled.

What's the reason for stretching the o-ring out? I got a KWA m130 spring on the way and I would like to learn as much as possible....

My sp120 settled to about 430ish, but with the edgi barrel it will settle to about 450, it just takes some time.
A promy 125 makes an Sr10 shoot right at 500 fps.
Also the kwa spring will settle fairly quick, much quicker than the guarder. Shoot it quite a bit and it will settle.  Use it as a dmr for a while.

Stretching an o-ring will ensure maximum surface contact between the o-ring and the inner walls of the cylinder reducing air loss between the two thus resulting in maximum possible compression.

You're in luck!
I made a video of the process in the DIY section of this forum.
