indeed, i saw this recently and was plannign to post it. KWA staff: does the AKG really use such a bolt stop system (have the loading nozzle rest on the follower)? that seems very...un-KWA-like

Honestly I thought similar things when I saw the LM4 follower. Obviously it doesn't do the same exact thing here but when the gun fails to lock or simply releases the bolt you're screwing the follower badly. I'm curious why the designs of both of these guns has failed to recognize this problem, not to mention the fact that the feed lips break so easily and are difficult to get replacements for. I'm sure that KWA will have the lips and followers available but I think we can all agree it would have been nice to never need to replace them. But who knows, maybe there's more involved in this design quirk than is apparent at the moment.

it doesn't look thusly, OP says that several followers have been destroyed already....disappointing KWA, i expected better than this.  I pay the premium to have a gun that is designed NOT to break, like real AK i want to take the AKG to hell and back and have to still 'Outperform', as 'engineered'; form what I have heard from KWA is that some parts are designed to fail.


On another topic, i wouldn't recommend using a 7600 DPI mouse, 'tis a 8itch O.0

Thanks for the review boobie. I'm very disappointed that KWA so royally f**ked up on designing this weapon. As an engineer it's very apparent that they did a half a** job. And before anyone asks, yes I could design a better system. KWA, if your interested in my input, you know where to get a hold of me. Honestly I will only buy an AKG if they release a Masada that can use LM4 and AKG mags (kinda like the PTS AEG). Even then, I'm going to need to put a lot of mods in to get it up to par with the WE AK.

Yea the whole bolt stop on thefollower bb follower deal is just ridiculous. A few of my teammates mags have worn out bb followers already and the bolt lock doesn't function anymore and continues to keep shooting. I really like WE design in their ak where it pushes the firing pin up and and over the gas valve.

Yeah that's a good way of doing it. I was also thinking about doing something that would prevent gas from coming out the release valve even if the valve was struck. That way it wouldn't require any mods to the gun. Do any of the other companies have a full travel bolt?

only WE has a full travel bolt..ghk, ksc, src, hephatus dont

Man, KWA/KSC really has no excuse. WE already put out a platform that did the AK GBB right and they still couldn't do it right.

come on KWA, you guys should have made it right, i have been waiting for several years now and i am quite upset that it is very flawed.  steal WE designs and make it better ( and not break)

I thought people didnt like the WE ak? When I google reviews ppl s say WE is WEAK, and so forth. I am hearing otherwise from your guys. Do you have the AK74UN?

I don't have any GBB AK. What I said, and I think Boobie too, is that the WE has the most realistic feature set. It has a "bolt stop" which prevents the gun from firing when the gun is empty (basically just goes click like the real thing), a full travel bolt, and a steel body. KSC has none of these, and therefore we assume the KWA will not.

Yup..exactly what I was trying to say..well said lol. I also own the WE PMC..and I also owned the ak74un. Absolutely love them. More recoil. Better hop up vs the ksc. The ksc is so proprietary its so kwa/ksc. So many damn pieces just to apply pressure to bucking. Another poor design.
See that little brass ball thing on the mat..that is what pushes down on a square plastic patch that then pushes on the top of the bucking.

I agree with you that it's the most stable way to set a hop-up. Only problem with the LM4 is the fact that you need a hole in the top of the receiver. Since this could be completely internal, I'm on board.

Cool. I shall pick up one this summer and start tinkering with it. i could kick myself in the @ss, this past Christmas ASGI had a great special on thier WE AK and I was set on waiting for the KWA one and didnt do it.

Frankly, I would simply wait till the KWA AK comes out before I would judge....Yes KWA is OEM for the KSC AK but there is not guarantee the design will be the same.

I really hope they overhaul the KSC design. It's sub-par and seems half-assed.
