Not what I'm looking for at all. But is proof of concept I guess. What M4 GBBR mag holds a higher capacity?

True, but this in design would be a step in the direction you wanted.

And like BeachEMT said, a good amount of WA magazine hold 50 rounds. Which is why i too always wondered why kwa never did 50 as well. Maybe the physical size of the magazines are different as ive never done a side by side with the lm4.

I didn't even know about this. Any clue what brand it is or where to get one?

Haha, we all wish we could get one. The uploader posted simply "this is a private mod". It might be a longshot to try and contact him in order to understand what all he modified... Even that is wishful thinking. But, it IS possible. at least there is that hope.

I feel like it isn't hard to make in theory. Anyone know how long a 12g CO2 cartridge lasts in an M4? Shove a Pro Win CO2 magazine's internals into the part that inserts into the well. Then you would just need to fab an extended BB track that went into one of the drums. The longer the track the more rounds it would hold.

That's one of the ideas I had, though I think for the sake of keeping stress in the LM4's internals to a minimum I'll look for a way to keep it propane and GG.

I thought about that too. You could just put a reservoir in the other side of the drum and run a line to the valve in the "mag" area.

This is an ex-teammate of mine in the video. He's running hicap in his WE pdw. He also converted a lonex type hicap for the WE G39

Random thought, regarding striking a balance between weight of a higher-capacity magazine and actual capacity - Surefire does make a 60-round real-steel STANAG magazine. If one had sufficient access to a machine shop, that form could probably be utilized to get a higher round count without going all out on a Beta mag.

Though a Beta mag that could fire sustained bursts until it went empty with no cooldown issues would probably bring a GBB LMG one step closer to reality...

I'm assuming the first mag is an OEM GG or CO2 mag? That HPA line on the hi-cap was kinda like what I was think of, but with a c-mag you would be able to keep it internal if you had a reservoir in the drum.

I've given that a bit of thought as well, though I would rather use some sweet looking PMags for a DMR type set up. I'm curious to see how fields would react to allowing a GBBR DMR at high fps, since there's only ~30 rounds available I figure that hinders a lot of safety concern, really depends on the field and the players. I think it would be awesome to have a MG36 GBBR with the NS2/FV system, so maybe a drum mag for the LM4 would be the next best thing. Maybe somebody could turn it into an M27 IAR?

Stanag or PMag? For stanag, load 20 rounds, figure out where the bottom of the follower is and measure the space between the bottom of the BB track and the base plate, cut the mag to ensure the base plate has the same angle relative to the body, then make sure to mill out the same pattern for the plate on the bottom and drill and tap the screw holes.

I wouldn't hold my breath for anymore KWA H&K guns. A M27 IAR conversion would be possible but not easy. It will require the same steps as my WE upper mod.

My understanding is that some people here have made LM416's on their own so I figure it's only a matter of time until somebody makes an LM27. A G36 is definitely no longer something I would expect to see from KWA but one can be wishful... or maybe somebody will be crazy enough to build one. I've been toying with the idea of a Polar Star MG36 for a while now for the sake of being more effective in 'BB spam' games, it's just damn expensive to set up.

I am the one who made the LM416 mod. Akira has one that is based off my original mod. As far as I know we are the only two people that have them. Problem with that version is the JG parts don't use the same rail indexing system as RS/VFC/WE. To do a LM27, you would need to use my newer method (hopefully I can finish soon and post a guide) which uses WE parts. It requires a lot more machining though.

Yeah I'd imagine that would take a lot of machining. If I had access to the macinary I would throw a Giselle rail on there, but Im too lazy and don't have access.
