Well today I decided to convert my km16br into a dmr. I have a good idea of what I want externally but I'm not sure on what I need to do internally. I'll be using .30 gram kwa bbs and a 3x9x40 scope unless someone else suggest something I think is better. I'd like some suggestions for internal upgrades. I'd prefer not to go into the gearbox and not spend too much. Thanks and please feel free to give your personal opinion on what I should do.

What FPS are you looking to get with .2s?

Well I'm thinking of just using the stock spring because I don't want to get into the gearbox. I will if I have to. Also what tightbore will be best for long range? Some say 6.01 and others say 6.03.

I think I'll get a different one I don't have a spare $95 bucks to spend. And will .28s work well? I don't want the .30 to lower the Fps too much.

Simple Approach to DMR for your specific gun:

1. New Drop-in Bucking:
- Lonex 70 Degree
- G&G Green
- Prommy Purple

2. New inner Barrel:
I suggest a 455mm / 6.03tbb
Bore size does not matter as much as barrel quality, but I have had great success with 6.03tbb's

3. Heavy bb's:
.30 - .36's.
Don't get caught up in FPS equals better performance.
The heavier bb's will shoot farther and more accurate than .20's - .28's.
Joules is a much better way to chrono your gun.

Li-po battery / In -spec:
11.1v / 1600mah / 15C
This will give you a better trigger response
Stay in Semi- Auto most of the time since you are going for DMR and not opening up the gearbox to dis-engage Full-Auto.

This is a great place to start and will get you very good shooting performance.
Some things you need to get familiar with for future reference:
- Flat-hop
- R-hop
- Full Cylinder
- Elongated Inner Barrel Windows
- Shimming
- AOE Corerection
- Mosfet
- Barrel Stabilization
- Barrel Lock-Down.

Ok thanks. I just thought that around 360 fps wouldn't be enough. I cant go with lipo because I know how much they need to keep from bursting into flames. I'm familiar with shimming but also wont a 455mm tbb be to small? the m16 is 509mm. Im going to practice gearbox work on my old cheap AGM M4 and see if I could get more familiar with gearbox work. Ill look into the hopup parts you suggested.
