Service Advisory - Aftermarket flash hider can CRUSH Hop-up units.

After our inspection the common cause is related to installing after market flash hider that have smaller inner diameter and cause the barrel to push backward. See video below.

To that end I checked the fitted FH on my SR5 and it is fine (barrel protrudes slightly into FH, so obviously clears opening), and the planned FH on my SR10 measures at about 9mm opening, plenty for the inner barrel.
The FHs I have are the King Arms PRI MSTN QCB Flash Hider (say that 3 times fast!), and the G&P "Voltex" Flash Hider.
Perhaps this is a good place to list all compatable, tested FHs? If not, admins, feel free to move this to the 3rd party compatability thread.
One more to add: G&P '05 Knights Type FH - 9mm+ clearance.

That's what I have on my SR5 as well, and an EDGI 6.01 cqb barrel. It added 10mm so the KX3 was necessary to cover the barrel. Works like a dream!

The NON-COMPATIBLE flashhider was the element vortex. If you look inside, it's got a super narrow opening and didn't let the inner barrel through.
Most other ones we've checked work fine.

The FHs I actually have ar the King Arms PRI MSTN QCB Flash Hider (say that three times fast!), and therefore the G&P "Voltex" Flash Hider.
Perhaps this can be a decent place to list all compatable, tested FHs? If not, admins, be at liberty to maneuver this to the third party compatability thread.
