Kwa M9 Ptp Tactical Review

I’m going to start off by saying my first GBB pistol was the KWA M9 PTP Tactical and the real reason why I bought this gun was because I’ve heard great things about KWA. I received this gun in the mail and my first reaction was wow this gun looks badass. It felt absolutely superb in my hand and the aesthetics of the gun were amazing. Then some problems emerged when I began to actually fire the gun. 7/10 after a shot a bb the blowback stopped about three quarters of the thus not loading another bb into the chamber. This means that 7/10 times I shot I would have to tap the back of the slide forward fairly hard to complete the blowback action. This is unacceptable for a sidearm in any combat situation. Later I brought my gun to one of my buddies who is a distinguished air smith in our community. He showed me what the problem was. A small rail structure on the inside of the slide was catching on an internal piece every time the slide went back. It was catching on this piece because it had been attached insufficiently and poked out of the side on the inner region of the slide. The was the first problem I experienced with the gun. Right out of the box and it was defective. After putting a couple more hundred rounds through the gun, trying to figure out how to solve the problem, the rail fell out. This was actually positive because the blowback could now be completed. There were two rails like this that directed the slide in a forward motion and kept it straight and in place. With one of them out I had half the support for the slide. This situation did not turn into a problem because the one rail alone was strong enough support the slide in movement. A friend with the KWA M9 PTP ,non tactical version of my gun, also experienced this. The next problem that occurred was the magazine. The two rails on the magazine that attach the base plate onto the bottom broke. Both of them. I would expect this with any gun but what leads me to believe that something might have been built faulty is that the same thing also happened to my friend with the KWA M9 PTP. Also this happened with the magazine of another friends KWA KZ75. The next problem that occurred was my gun would fire 5 or so bb’s but then the blowback seemed to be too weak to put a bb in the chamber. This might be confusing to think about but my gun looked as if it were shooting normally with blowback and everything but bb’s did not come out of the barrel. The magazine was not empty either. Finally the most recent problem happened when I was cleaning the gun after a game. Upon putting the gun back together and racking the chamber once I heard some jingling inside the gun. I tried to pull back the slide again but it would not budge. I took it apart again and several thin metal pieces fell out. After examining the gun I determined that these pieces were internals that kept the blow back cylinder in place. Now it is free to move about the gun.

I am a responsible air softer that maintains my guns regularly. I have only fielded this sidearm at three games and I’m afraid my gun will be deemed non functional. I have my biggest operation yet in three weeks and I am without a sidearm. KWA has deeply disappointed me. I’m questioning whether or not I’ll ever buy another KWA GBB. At the very least I expect to receive high performance guns for the amount of money KWA gas blowback pistols cost. I’m writing this review to get some feedback from the community and possibly staff. Has anyone else experienced these problems? Is there anything I can do to restore this gun? Has this problem been fixed? I bought this gun about a year ago when the tactical version cost 190 dollars.
