I debating weither or not I should go with the first batch thats released or wait till the second. Just in case of minor problems : gas leaks, malfunctioning parts, etc.

Well, that is what the warranty is for.  But with that said, anything can happen.  The first batch could be fine and the second might have a slight issue.  I am not saying it will but how can you know?  One thing is certain, KWA will stand behind their product and for me, the lower serial number is going to be a big influencer.

OK... it is the very end of October and we still haven't got an idea when it is coming out. KWA at shot show, do you recall, said it would be released by the end of summer/fall. Well its almost end of fall and we still don't have a date on when its coming out.

I was told that the goal was for an end of year/beginning of 2012 release.  I'm guessing January with the LM4 and AKG.

I heard on kwa's fb that the kriss has still not been finalized. I hope it'll be out before christmas!

That is just awesome.  January is the poorest month of the year for me.  Just have to cancel Christmas this year. LOL

This is my opinion on the matter: the KRISS in my opinion won't be out for Krissmas 2011, and I don't think it will be released during the LM4/AKG GBBR series debut. My guess is that we'd be lucky to see this thing by around the fourth quarter of 2012. Now remember, that's winter 2012 up to around february 2013... so... I think we've got some time to wait.

I dunno, the end of the year goal came to me from KWA themselves, and I've seen it elsewhere too.  While yes, that doesn't mean it will be magically released by then, I doubt it would take another year unless there are some serious design issues.

You've got a point there- I saw in the KWA Shot Show 2011 vids that the Vector will be released sometime by the end of the summer, but it is November already, and all we've seen is a cast metal piece of the frame. The ones in the display glass were real vectors from the vector booth across the aisle. I also doubt it will take a year to get the model out, but you don't want to squash the famed GBBR debut. KWA will be and is strategic about when and how they will release the products to get maximum profit. Maybe the Vector prototype is complete, maybe it's going into production? I don't know. But my guess is that we aren't going to see them until mid way 2012. And that's just my guess. Not fact. I could be wrong however. =)

Until it is confirmed by KWA, no ETA prediction can be trusted.

The last bit of info from the KWA FB page indicated that they were still developing a working prototype. Don't kno KWA's R&D system, but I would imagine it would take 6-12 months to ship retail once a prototype is produced?

You are right sir. 6-12 months and about $500,000 is what it takes typically to make a KWA product.

But since they've been working on lots of other projects, it shouldn't be out until later in 2012. (REMEMBER: that's just my opinion I could be wrong)

Are there any plans for a low power mod in place? I have some money set aside for a new cqb gun, and I am almost definitely going to purchase the KWA Vector at one point or another, but it will be my first choice if it is shooting at CQB friendly speeds.
