Hey guys, we just got in the KM Head 6.02mm barrels for 509mm (SR12/KM16BR). These are great barrels and made for us specifically by KM Head and do not need any modification for correct installation.

will they be making this for the m4 ris? or is the edgi the best already?

We may order them once we run out of stock on the EDgI barrels. The request for that length has been a bit slower so we still have about 10 pieces in stock on the EDgI.

has anyone tried one yet? i aint gonna blow $85 without a youtube video review, come on guys get with the program.  i almost bought this with my last purchase but then i couldnt find ANY information on it so i didnt. Sorry guys, ur fault tho.

Really? These are great barrels, I've been using one in another of my guns for the last few years.

The KM brand has been around for ages... All I really can say is actually try searching on google...

I was considering getting this barrel but I don't know how well they perform against other high end barrels like prometheus pdi and edgi. Has anyone had a chance to do a comparison?
Also where does a 6.02 barrel stand in terms of range and accuracy verses a 6.03 and 6.01?

so far the guys here are saying that its better than the EDGI barrels they sell....

shade tighter than .03... but with out the jam issues of lots of the .01's

I have never experienced a jam in any of my 6.01 barrels.  As long as you clean it after every game day you shouldn't have any problems unless you are the kind of guy that likes to stick his barrels in dirt. LOL

ive always wondered about the jam thing. ud have to have a pretty dirty barrel to cause a jam, wouldnt you? and then would that jam mess with the smooth inner barrel's accuracyfrom then on?

The techs in my area say that 6.03s offer more range and accuracy than 6.01s but the .01s offer better groupings and fps. Is this true? And if so where do the 02s stand?

I personally think the tighter the better.  But, ammo has a great affect on results given the fact that different manufacturers make different diameter BB's.  In the end the only tests I've seen, albeit not scientific, show the 6.01 edging out 6.03's.  But that is not necessarily comparisons of the same brand so one could argue their validity. I have yet to see something definitive that addresses the question you asked.

heh heh

before i learned about KWA BB's...  i used to get the "biggest" diameter ones i could get....  got some 5.98's & they were +/- .02  well it dont take long to see how that could be a problem in a 6.01 or .03 barrel...  they do have to be able to "fly" out of the barrel.  :-)  and it only took 1 to be the + .02's to have a jam and then when running the lipo it was a total cluster F*k in a matter of a second.

and no ive never had a dirty barrel in a gun until that jam up.

got no real clue as to why/what/how that happened in there but it was a mess and had pieces back in the nozzle, piston and so on.

but im excited to try one of these .02 barrels in the 425 for my m4a1.   :-)
