My point about 500 fps in the LE version, is that the LM4 is capable of firing at 500 fps, but probably will be tuned to fire at legal limits for airsofters.

That's correct. Law Enforcement version LM4 will not be available to civilians.

Law enforcement and military personnel need rifles that shoot that hard for training. It will hurt, but it sucks less than getting shot with a real round. Basically trying to train the guys to make cover their best friend forever.

From talking to all of my brother's friends that used to be in Law Enforcement (ex-SWAT members), they use simunitions for training that shoots at anywhere from 500 to 600 fps (some even higher).  These are basically like real bullets with paint slugs that marks you.  A good training system but with all the budget crunch LE Departments are feeling the pressure to try alternative training systems.  Simunitions from what I have been told are very expensive not to mention the mods that needs to be done to their weapons to shoot these rounds.
This is where the new LM4 will fill the gap.

I will have my brother play with it as soon as I get one to see if this might be something he feels that he can incorporate into his training exercises.

Exactly, @niko_gpsy. I forgot the word "simunition." It's so expensive to even modify the rounds! Getting a charge into a casing then loading it up with practically a paint ball!? PSHH... If departments replace Simunition with KWA, (of course) they would save thousands of dollars each year.

I think as the GBBR technology becomes more advanced and widely known, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if all LE and Military started using KWA.

PS  I think they also use rubber rounds too.  Not just for crowd control. LOL

This clown pic is from the movie "IT". It's pretty decent. Made me scare of clowns when I was growing up. LMAO
