Lately I've been having some issues with my M93R not cycling properly and I'm trying to track down what's causing this.

I noticed my hammer isn't going down as far as it seems like it should and dragging along the bottom of the slide when the slide goes back. Causes a noticeable amount of resistance compaired to if I just rack the slide and hold the hammer down. I'm wondering if this happens on anyone else's properly working M93R?

I made a video of what I'm talking about about the hammer:

On a side note, if this is supposed to happen, should I file down the top of the hammer anyway, so it doesn't drag along the slide? Would the reduce in friction allow the gun to cycle easier and thus increase reliablilty, gas effeciency, and/or performance? Or would it just screw the gun up?

Thanks for any help. :D

For some reason it slipped my mind that the gun has to push the whole hammer back when it cycles anyway. *facepalm* Something is making it harder to rack the slide than it used to be, though... Seems like all my slide's resistance is from the hammer and part #6 rubbing on the magazine's gas port.

I'm still having an issue with my M93R, guess I'll make a video and new topic later. I'm trying to figure out whats causing my M93R to suddenly start over-cooling after 3 bursts. Used to be able to go through a whole mag in colder weather with no problems. :/

I think something in the slide is catching on the magazine.

that hammer thing is supposed to happen its so that the hammer will reliably lock onto the sear like on my sa 1911 the hammer can go farther than forwards it needs to (farther than the firing pin) so that it will have a hard hit on the primer
