I have heard rumors about KM barrels having some kind of coating that flakes off.  Does anyone know if this is true?  I was thinking about buying the KM 395mm 6.02 for my KM4A1 but I'm not so sure now.

From what we have seen and from those, like Allizard, who have a lot of experience with the barrel flaking is not an issue.
