ok i gotta know...

that new m16 3gx in magpul looks AWESOME...    will these parts interchange for the 2gx's we got?

and is there ANYTHING you can share with us at this point on the 3gx hop up being 1 piece design?

As I understand it, and please this is preliminary, at least some 3GX parts can go into the 2GX gearbox.  Some of the current AEG line have these new parts, specifically, gears. Pictures and reports have appeared on these forums. Regarding anything beyond that let's wait and see.

The one piece hop-up is on my list of "what's it all about?" too.  I have when we are filled in we will pass the info along.

If I'm not wrong, so far the 3GX has only been referred to the ERG's. It's going to be quite different, but a few of the parts should be able to be used in the 2GX, if it isn't already in some of the latest batches as gcw said.

im not so much concerned with the recoil/blowback system as its just a waste on any of the guns ive had before...   im more interested in the LOOK of that new M16 with the magpul set ups & maybe what hop up changes they made..

if the parts interchange on the stocks and such id buy that magpul stuff for my m16 right NOW!

I've seen so many KWA's have magpul furniture on it... Makes my commi blood cringe. My time will come with the AK. Magpul AK. Jking...

im excited to FINALLY be able to play with a reliable ak... let alone an ak74. GBB maybe not but the ERG should be just great. im not into the recoil thing but i want that ak sooo bad... oh look mean with a zombie killer barrel extension on that thing!! oh my god im excited.

I have heard that the 3GX gearbox will def. not work as a "drop in" into a normal 2GX KM4. Apparently there are some physical changes to the gearbox physical shape that will not allow it to fit into the current receivers.

"KWA Due to the differences in gearbox design, they are not interchangeable."

Awww, that sucks. I was really hoping I could drop a 3gx into my current guns and be up to date.

Looks like I might have to sell my current babies to buy a new 3gx gun

I am keeping all my 2GX guns. Never know, I might not like the realistic recoil in my airsoft gun. Besides, I do enjoy my 38rps SR5. LMAO

oh im not getting rid of any of them...  but we always upgrade as we go.

even though my KWA's shoot great with the two piece hop up, im still not a fan of it & see it as the only weak link in the gun.

So the 3GX is for the recoil guns while the 2GX is for non-recoil?

What about the one piece hopup?

so the AK wont recaoil unless its a KWA mag? if so thats not a to big of deal. i just cant wait to put a red dot and barrel extension!!!

The ERG's will still recoil whether you use an ERG mag or not.  The only difference will be that the bolt will not lock using a regular AEG mag when all the bb's have been dispensed unlike the mags that will come with the ERG.

It's been a while since I last fired the AK ERG.

The recoil mechanism didn't make much noise on the prototype because the charging bolt was disabled. Generally, AEGs are loud and the recoil mechanism did not seem to contribute enough noise for me to notice it in comparison to the sound an electric gearbox makes.
