Hi

I still use my KWA M4 2GX Carbine but i really want a Free Float RAS.
At the Moment i have a Magpul PTS MOE Handguard, but it has some wobble, so big Problem so far.
But ofcourse Plastic Handguard is not solid enough to mount a Laser Aiming Device etc.

So im searching for "Aftermarket" Free Float RAS which is 100% KWA compatible out of the Box.
i dont want any Modification (like filing, cutting bending....) on the RAS so it should really be a "Plug and Play" Thing" without wobble or other Problems.

Can anybody suggest me a really nice, "sexy", rock-solid and KWA compatible Free Float RAS System  ?
Something like Madbull Daniel Defense or Noveske....

Thank you !

Are you changing the wiring configuration? Where are you planing on having the battery?  PEQ box, etc?

At the Moment i have my Lipo in the MOE Handguard, with a new RAS is have to rewire the cables to the back for a Stocktube Lipo.

A King Arms CASV would be a Option ! It can take my Front Lipo and it sits rocksolid to mount anything like a Laser,Lights etc. But, the extension Rail over the Upper Receiver is to high to use a BUIS even with 1/3 lower Co-Witness trough a Aimpiont with "high Mount".
But 1/3 should still work through a Eotech 551/552/XPS or low mounted Aimpoint.
In EU the CASV is around 150Euros, very expensive.
I dont know, the CASV is only a Handguard with Rails.....not a Free Float RAS and i get a nice RAS with rear wiring for less Money!

So the CASV is not really a alternative...

Have you considered adding a KWA free float rail?  That would require no modifications.

Call for availability.  It's limited but it does occur.

Well that really depends on the length you want.  The hand guard on the LM4C I believe is 7 "...so an SR7 would work. Again, that's if it's in stock.

G&P makes a "Defender" rail, a black clone of the DD MK18 RIS. The weapon itself was a run of 500, so I don't know how easy the rail is to find.

Thanks Greg! Quick question since I'm not going to be able to call KWA tonight: Do you have any idea on pricing? Even an estimate would help.

I think first of all i will install a "MadBull M4 LiPo Ready T6 Aluminium Stock-Tube".
But i have to make a bigger Modification for this Tube to fit.
The Inner Tube on the Upper Receiver (where the Stock Tube sides on) needs a cut because its to long for the Madbull T6 Tube.
Its more or less simple as shown in the Video Tutorial on the Madbull Site

After this i will by a Madbull DD or Noveske 7" Free Float RAS.
My 2GX is Carbine Lenght, would a 9" Fit or only 7" ?

And after cutting the length of the upper receiver tube you will need to file down the sides so a dremel will come in handy.  KWA is a bit beefier than other brands so you will need to do some sanding work to make the buffer tube fit.
