I did the same type of window cut. I used a dremal and a file. It took me awhile longer than I'm sure the mill did. But it looks good and I like it. So thumbs up.

Dobey, how is propane treating your ATPs? Just ordered an ATP and about to order the Hurricane kit off the pro shop, so I wanted to know if running propane through the stock ATP or the upgraded ATP has caused any issues. About how much silicon oil are you adding to the adapter and for how many mag fills? Loving the work that you do with your guns and the guides you post. Again, nice work on the mag etchings!

ADR you are correct!  As for the propane I use the stuff from walmart in the camping section.  I dont really see any problems using it but I understand why KWA wont recomend it.  I do allot more than most players to my stuff, and I understand that using the propane voids my warrenty.

With that said just clean your guns after you play, every time.  I never use silicone in the mags, but when the valves start to act up I take them out and clean and re-oil them.  I have seen far far more gas guns go down from too much oil.  I take them in the shop, strip and clean them, then add a tiny bit of oil to the loading nozzle area and valves in the mags, and then they work great again.

Almost every gun I get in that has sticking parts, or poor gas consumption etc is directly related to a dirty gun.  Gun gets used, gets dirty, starts sticking, and then gets covered in oil in an attempt to fix it, which just makes things worse.

Clean your guns!

AMEN Brother!  Fixed three last week due to what you just described....they where not all KWAs by the way.

Good to know. I'm running propane through my GBBs and really haven't encountered many issues. I clean my guns regularly and always after a game or just practicing. I tend to keep these things clean like I would any real firearm.

I love my atp on propain, it works amazing!
the only thing is I always add lube to my gun after each use, just because i like to keep my guns smooth.
BTW! get a fpg mag for your atp the thing is AMAZING!

Do you just add oil to the slide and internals of the gun after use?

Eh... I would take the slide off and remove the barrel and hop up from the outer barrel and then clean everything with warm water and some dish soap. You remove any harmful oil that may be left in the gun and prevent damage from dirt, excessive oil, and other "gunk". Just some words of advice.

I just finished putting in the Hurricane upgrade parts, and although it was a P.I.T.A. to get the hammer mechanism back in the frame, I finally figured it out.

The recoil is definitely felt more (more powerful) and there is a boost of about 10-15 fps with the upgrade to the high flow valves.

Another great KWA purchase. Thanks Dobey for posting up a how-to guide. It was helpful when I started to get a bit frustrated.

going to order a ATP soon and just curious but can the ATP accept any barrel extensions of any type?

The ATP is not designed to accept a barrel extension.  Also, it will not function properly if you were to add one.

not true about the extension on the ATP. a player made is own for his atp with mock [barrel extension] to cover the extension came out really accurate

Good to hear.  Perhaps I should have stopped at "not designed to accept a barrel extension" which is based on direct communication with KWA.  I can not in good faith recommend an after market suppressor for the ATP.  A home made one might be another story though?

quick question if my gun is half cylcling and sometimes full and at times the bbs just barely come out of the barrel what does that mean
also did you get 2 extra mags per gun or 2 total

I would check to make sure your gun is clean and all the parts move freely, this is the most common problem I see with gbb's, they are just dirty and over oiled.

I have the three atps and 5 mags total.
