Well today i traded my KWA M9 PTP for a KMP9R. i got it and i LOVE it. I have 1 problem though, i have some problems when it shoots.

Sometimes it shoots, sometimes it doesnt. If i recock it it shoots fine for 1-7 Shots.

I have 2 mags and it does it with both mags.

Stats:
FPS:350
Gas type:Green Gas
BBs:Elite Force .25g



So what do you guys/girls think is the problem? and how hard will it be to fix?

You need to stretch part #162, the disconnector spring.  This will allow the bolt to return to battery.  You can stretch it with a flat screwdriver or needle nose pliers.  Just remember, you can't "unstretch" it so go slow and adjust as needed.

The approach I used when I encountered the problem was to take a flat screw driver, pick a point near the middle of the spring, insert the screwdriver between two coils of the spring, and give a little twist.  Using needle nose pliers will do the same thing if you insert the pliers in between the coils and squeeze.  I prefer the screw driver technique.  A stretch of about 1/8" should work.

So that spring thing, any way you can get me a picture? Im a younder player(14) and im not the best tech, but not many gas gun tehs in GA :/

Is it that spring you can see on the lower reciever? The one with the VERY tight coils?

Look at the manual that came with the gun to find the part...that should help.  If I can find a picture I will post it.  It's not shown in the picture you posted.

The spring in that picture (which is my gun btw) is part number 73 and is not the one you need to stretch a little.  You want part number 162.

You can see it here just at the left side of the picture near that phillips head screw:

I tech and repair gas guns and AEGs and I live in GA. Whowouldathunk? Anyways, Dobey and GCW are right- the disconnector spring needs to be stretched a tad bit.

I'll post a vid when I get the chance.

Thank you all for the help, i realized i dont even have to take the bolt out But ya, i loosened the spring and now the gun shoots AMAZING. I cant believe i didnt buy one of these before. Also, One of my mags the tip is farther off the metal casing than the other. Do i need a new tip?
