Hello forum,
Today I come to share a small mod I did in about half an hour to my ATP for the fun of it (and because I got another slide just in case I didn't like it), I filed down my ATP's slide with some 100Grit sand paper, and this is the effect I got. I'm not quite done with it yet as you can probably tell by some of the remaining paint  on the slide. Let me know what you think.

Took me about 15-30 minutes to get this particular effect, more detailed/thorough filing and buffing will take a bit longer. It shouldn't take TOO long if you have the right materials and tools. Good luck.

You can polish that with a dremel and a cloth polishing bit.  I use some Mother's metal polish you find in automotive stores.
One downside to chroming is that you will have to polish the gun once in awhile to get all the oxidation off or it gets dull.

Niko, I took your advice on this front and decided to buy some nice dremel bits for the dremel I found in the garage. Didn't know I had one! Now I must go out and buy the cloth polishing bit. I purchased some sanding bits for it, and this is what I got out of it. I went a little overboard with the sanding, and the little "ridges" the slide had are now gone. It's also much shinier than before but it isn't uniform. Here are some photos of it as it is now. Feedback?

Yeah, it definitely doesn't look so much like an ATP any more from far away, but close up you see that it's different than a stock ATP. I guess that's what I was aiming for anyhow, just to have a different looking gun.
