Hello guys, I have an Sr-12 and the gun was shooting flawlessly until a few days ago. Just a few BBs into the magazine, which is  a Beta project pmag, it stopped firing. I thought maybe there was a jam but there was none. After that, the gun would not feed at all. I tried electrical tape to have a snug fit, since there was some wobble. But the problem was still there. The only ways that the gun would shoot was pushing the magazine up while shooting or firing upside-down :(. I have been trying to fix it for the past few days but my limited knowledge of guns have left me stumped.

Do other mags work? The KWA hicap that came with the gun? Hopefully it's just that mag.

I would inspect the mag catch and the feed ramp for wear or damage.  Though I am not convinced that the mags are not the problem.

So KWA mags do work. I am betting that it's the new mags and not the gun.

I talked to airsoftnoob and the problem was a worn out mag catch.

Well the mag catch was worn out but after i shot it again with the new mag catch today, it only feeds the first shot and not the rest. :( this is so frustrating and I am not sure if I have a KWA mag on me so I can't test it out.

Now try a new bb ramp as gcw360 suggests.
If that does not solve it, troubleshoot your hop-up / inner barrel / bucking / nub by thoroughly cleaning and reseating everything.

In addition to what "V" mentioned, try going to your local airsoft store to see if they will let you try a mag...KWA preferably.

The picture of the hop up is blurry.

What bb's are you using, and have you been switching any lately?

Frankly, trying a KWA mag is best to do before jumping onto conclusions.

I have been using airsoft elite bbs and I can retake the picture of the hop up. I will probably look for a KWA mag in my house soon when i get back.

I couldn't agree with GW more....I see no ramp issues there.

Hopefully this is image is clearer; please excuse the turtle background :,). Okay yesterday Desert was trying to help me and we examined the air nozzle and when I fired it, the nozzle passes just the hole but not the whole bb ramp. Unfortunately, I had to go so we could not examine it further. Hopefully this helps.

I think we are still thinking it's the mag and the BB's.

I dont think they are the BBs cause I tried different types like Echo1 and they still don't work. The magazines I used, I tried them on the SR-10 right before and after and they work fine.

Did you try to modify your hop up by any chance? I see the left edges of the hop up to be worn down... Also what aftermarket barrel did you install?

Not only do I recommend you to use the KWA magazines, but to also install your original KWA inner barrel that came with your SR12.

I've seen feeding problems like you have spur from not only using non-KWA magazines but as well as pairing that up with aftermarket tightbores that changes hop up interacts with the BB.

I have to agree with GW. You hop up looks a little chewed up but not enough to cause feeding problems.
