vanevery thanks, that helps a lot.  Still about that screw though... Will the gearbox be ok with one screw missing from the top?  Left to right, the first, second, third, (fourth missing), and then the fifth?  If not will any hardware store likely cary them?  The threads seem pretty standard.

I would go to a local airsoft store and see if they have some spare screws.  If not, get on from KWA and, once you do, install it.  I would not use the gearbox without all the screws.  Nothing may happen, but if it does it will likely be catastrophic.

You can get away without one of the top shell screws.
Just make sure there is a screw in each screw slot at each end of the top shell.
If you are going to be witout one, sacrifice a screw slot more in the center of the top of the gearbox shell.rather than one on each end.
Save the washer that came with that respective screw if there is one..

Remember:
Other brand gearbox shell screws will work in your KWA gun.
You may need a different screw driver than the Torx t-10 to install it.
You can buy extra complete sets of gearbox screws from major online retailers.

You may in fact find what you need at a local hardware store.
It will not be the thread size that causes you problems finding one.
It will be finding a screw that is as small/short as the gearbox screw is.

Take one of your gearbox screws out and place it in a ZipLock bag. Take it to the hardware store for
reference. Don't lose it though.

Remember

Well I think I got it.  I tested it out, it seems to work perfectly.  I just gotta put the crane stock and upper receive back on and pray it stays that way.

One shot... Now it won't shoot.  Back to the drawing board.  Any Ideas?

I found the culprit... The wiring is smashed in two places.  The black wire right by the sling mount, and the red just after the connection between the buffer tube wiring and the gear box.  Replacing wiring and sottering is one thing I know I can't do.  Guess I need to send it back to KWA after all...

You can buy a complete wire harness kit to install, granted it would be kinda expensive. Still probably cheaper than sending it in for repair. However basic soldering is a pretty easy skill to learn. You've come this far, and a week ago you couldn't take a gearbox apart. Why stop because you can't solder? If you have a Harbor Freight store nearby you can get everything you need to get started for less than $20 bucks.

1) soldering gun
2) 18-16 AWG(gage) wire
3) heat shrink wire wrap
4) solder (soldering gun may come with just enough to get you started)
5) heat gun (not necessary, but handy for doing heat shrink. You can use a lighter or some other source of heat at first)

Eh... But what do I do with the wire?  Soldering the contacts onto the trigger mechanism is easy enough, but how do you take the wire out of the clips and replace it with the new?

A wire harness kit wouldn't work, the wiring that is crushed is the wire coming from the gearbox, not the battery.  Does the wire harness kit in the Pro Shop come with the metal connectors on the opposite end of the tamiya plug?

Pretty sure it replaces the entire trigger wire setup, wouldn't hurt to call and ask tomorrow when they're open. Just make sure to tell them exactly what you need.

i think oriellys auto parts store sell the 1/8 inch blade connectors solder is better but you can buy a crimper for cheap and some heat shrink soldering is easier than gb repair dont sweat it its not rocket science  if you have to do any soldering on the trigger contacts just be sure to watch it closely so you dont get it too hot and melt the plastic also get silicon wire its not as stiff and easier to work with

I'll call tomorrow.  The picture only shows the wireing in the buffer tube, but I'll see.

You'll need to ask for the trigger wire harness. And specify whether it is front or rear wired.
