Hello,
Yesterday I ordered a Magpul PTS FPG GBB from evike with 2 magazines (18% off entire store now) and I would like to know any special rules the FPG has, ( like how you cant close the bolt on a mp7 magazine or not cock a M11 and put a magazine in, that sot of thing). If anyone has any problems that were casued by a known action, then please tell me, I have talked to the helpdesk too many time already. Thanks!!

If you want to change the firing selector, be sure to lock the gun's slide back, then pull up on the piece that connects to the "stock." Then, the slide is exposed. You can switch the firing selector from there. Failure to do so will break special parts.

Wonderful, I even got some spray paint to cover the guns only flaw, the silly tip/ end

I don't suggest modifying the orange tip until after the 45 day warranty... and no the tip isn't silly. It's the law.

Removal of the orange tip VOIDS your 45 day warranty. From KWA USA: "FEDERAL REGULATIONS PROHIBITS THE REMOVAL OF ORANGE SAFTEY MARKING FROM ALL AIRSOFT GUNS. REMOVAL OF ORANGE SAFETY MARKING WILL VOID ALL WARRANTY!"

If you so wish to modify your orange tip, I suggest waiting at least until after your warranty is done for.

From what I understand, it is illegal to transport replica firearms (airsoft guns) across state borders without orange tip. If this were a gun that had a threaded barrel with a flash hider, you could easily switch between the original (orange) and the black tip, as long as you dont paint it, but with the FPG its a different story because it doesnt have a easily removable orange tip. So with the FPG, I would not recommend changing the tip under the 45 day period.

i was planning to leave the barrel tip on, but i notice that my spare mags came in a non typical kwa package, the magazines are the same looking but the box is a purple color and has a picture of an "8- ball" on the lid/ top and only has a fpg sticker and a barcode

Yeah, that would make sense because you most likely order the "Non-retail package" version of the mags on Evike. Retail packages contain the plastic, with mags visible, while the non-retail packages are different colored boxes with the barcode and various other little things. When I ordered my M9, I came across the same thing. They sent my second mag in a little blue box instead of the retail package versions I see at my local store... don't worry they are all the same.

Good observation.  Mags from the Pro Shop typically come in boxes of various colors....blue, orange, etc. with the mag type marked on the box.  Actually, it's only recently that I have seen the "retail" packaging the you mentioned. Not sure if all future packaging will default to the more retail friendly or not.

I'm sure the switch was due to the fact that maybe some people were confused whether or not they received a new magazine. But I don't think it will be necessary to switch over to the use of all retail packaging, I'm sure the colored boxes save KWA some money! Anyways... back on topic...

yeah, i was just wondering because my mp9/7 and usp and atp mags came in the plastic pouches

No, actually I wouldn't assume that.  Better packaging is better marketing.  Doing so, revising packaging, can reinforce the quality of the product.  Not to mention the enhanced ease of display in a retail environment.  That said, and as you suggested, lets get back on topic shall we.

just a bit of a side note, but you cant close the bolt on an mp7 with a mag in the gun?
