As to the fps that was all I was referring to.  Fps dies make a difference to a point, such the case from 100 to 400, but that us an extreme analogy, but thus whole comment was based upon the thought that something strange was happening in your set up.  It was to try and help your make your gun extremely fun to use.

As to the fps, I took my Sr10 barrel out if my 7 shooting 450ish, and put it in my sons gun that shoots 398 and the distance was the same with the same bbs.

Nope, no debate on thus subject, I am just trying to be helpful and pass along information that has been through trial and error over the last 3 years of playing and working on airsoft guns.

No problem. I believe that the dirty barrel and bucking may have caused the inaccuracy out past 160. I have the R-hop installed and pretty close I think. The accuracy is great at 160 feet and then it seems to climb after that. It will shoot a good 100/ 150 feet further but much like your old gun, it rises once it gets way out there. As is, I should be able to lob some rounds into some back-of-the-map campers. :spell:

I will keep playing with the nub and hop and see what happens.

When you mentioned the stock SR-12, It reminded me of something that happend 2 weeks ago at the field.

I was prone about 75 yards from an attack point picking off the other team as they attacked. One of them was yelling "sniper, sniper, Hooper get up here!" Here is the funny part, this guy with an SR-12 comes up and crouches behind a log and starts looking for me.

One of my team, with a rental gun, breaks cover about 100 feet from this guy and lights him up?????????????The guy could not hit a guy 100 feet away with an SR-12?????????????  I found him after the game and asked him how did he miss that guy that close, he said he didn't know.

Asked him what weight BB and he said he was using the stuff they sell there, .2's. Gun is a year old, barrel  and bucking never cleaned and using crap BB's. The "tech" that he uses told him that .2's were fine and the hop up was only when using heavy BB's and they were only for sniper guns!??!!??!??

Had him bring it back to my truck and I pulled the barrel and hop-up, cleaned it up, reassemeble it and set the hop. Gave him some .3's for it and he about peed his pants when he shot it. Told him to go and punch his tech in the face and come here and learn.

Glad I found you guys here or that may have been me.

If its climbing at 160 you still need to said a bit more. Sand until you get the bbs to stop climbing like they are overhopped. You will see a slight bump ay a distance nut that us it. Also I set my rhop to have a slight steady rise like real ammo.  I never lob bbs by raising the barrel substantially, I just get closer if I can't hit a person.

So, do our comments make a but more sense now?  I told you your gun wasn't performing to potential.  Way to go!!!!!!!!!!!

Well Balls! I cut it too much and now I have to turn the hop up on to keep it from dropping. Good thing I bought extra patches. I will do another one tonight and try again.

That is ok because you can use different weight bbs now. If it is shooting ok then don't mess with it.
