Hey all,
I'd like to put a Magpul PTS UBR stock on my KWA M16 BR, and Im looking for some beta on how it's done/any mods I'll have to do. Im not sure if it's simply a drop in process or if I'll have to modify the buffer base. A little help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Tradventure.

I'm about 95% certain you will have to modify the buffer extension on your M16. If you look at it there's a raised section of it near the base of it. If you want pictures of what I did to get an aftermarket stock on I can upload them. It took a bit of dremeling.
Also I'm fairly certain that on a real gun this wouldn't be possible because the UBR can only take Carbine length buffers. Just something to ponder.

Thanks for the reply! At the moment I am more concerned with the function than the form of the weapon, so 100% real steel accuracy isn't going to phase me too badly. I would really appreciate the photos of your process, as I would like to r
Take the minimum amount of material off of the rifle.
Also, what kind of battery capacity are you getting in the ubr? I would like to still be able to run my 11 lipo if possible.
Thanks.

Kind of a Necro, but I just installed one of these on my KWA yesterday. I was originally useing a madbul lipo buffer tube with an 11.1V 1800mah (I think) 15C lipo. I had to sand down the buffer base about 1/2 inches from the section nearest the body because KWA made that part thicker. When I changed to the UBR, other than slicing off a little more of the buffer base, it slid right on. My point is that I'm not sure if you will have to sand it down for the UBR or not. As for the battery, I hadn't even realized that I could stick a battery in it until I was holding it. It is significantly larger than the lipo buffer tube so a stick lipo will have no trouble fitting.

I had mo trouble using geniune magpul pts ubr stock.
Just remove the buffer tube support to 1 inch aprox. After that just I had instaled it like any other stock.
It should look like this
