Taking the BATF out of the equation, I believe one piece uppers like the ones found on AR's are CNC'ed; an extremely expensive and a time consuming process. As a result, the guns would trickle slowly into the market, and the gun would probably cost 2-3 times more (effectively pricing itself out of the market). A split two piece upper allows for mold injecting, a cheaper and quicker process. With that said, going with a split upper & looking at the parts diagram, IMO I think there are better options to secure the top rail without the use of part 89 and keeping the charging handle rail unobstructed.

This part, part 89, was stuck in the receiver where the charging handle was supposed to rest. Therefore, I was told, the bolt would not rest in the normal position. Because of this, it could also be the reason why bbs would not feed into the chamber properly, resulting in jams and crushed bbs. Allen noted that my rifle was the only one sent back to the warehouse with this problem.
With the help of Victornica, xKingSizex and Customer Service Agent Rudy, I was sent an email just yesterday about a replacement gun being shipped and is on the way to my address.
Thank you very much for your quick service resolving the issue and I eagerly await next weekend when I will be able to put some good trigger time into my rifle.

Also, it seems as though the full auto issue is starting to crop up where the bb's start rolling out of the barrel and the magazine spews the rest of its contents through every possible place inside the receiver. This recently caused me to die in a match. It was extremely frustrating. I've got some ideas as to why it might be happening but I can't be sure. However after I cleaned the gun and lubed it very heavily I found it can shoot 10-20 rounds before returning to rolling bb's. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the O-Ring around the back of the nozzle thing inside the bolt carrier. I'm hypothesizing that it's freezing up and shrinking or becoming harder thus causing loss of compression.

That vast majority of KWA's, any model, have few if any issues. Unfortunately, there aren't any threads dedicated to "Why I have no issues with my KWA". Though, I may start one!
One thing is certain, as issues arise they are reported, addressed, and improved upon. Especially if this is due to a design problem verses not. And if you encounter such an issue, KWA will warranty repair your gun so long as you are within the warranty parameters.

So far I have had no issues with my LM4. I have not done the bolt mods that Dobey recommended, yet either. I'll see how far long I come along as well, perhaps be able to join in with your thread of "Why I have no issues with my KWA."

Received my replacement LM4 on Wednesday. Kudos to KWA for shipping one out so quickly! I was able to put a quick 200 rounds down range right now, and have not experienced any problems yet. Although the nozzle has been sticking out a little bit after finishing a mag again, it hasn't caused an issue as of yet. I am hesitant to do dobey's bolt filing mod right now. I'm still under warranty and do not wish to screw up my gun (I'm not the best with mods...) at this particular moment. The sticky nozzle hasn't bothered me, but I do feel it is something to keep an eye on (and perhaps be addressed) when making future generations of the gun. As I make my way to the 3k rounds down range mark, I will give another update, and hopefully a proper "first impressions" opinion as I am still very much impressed with the gun even after I've said some bad things about it.
