I bought my HK45 about 2-3 weeks ago. I use propane however I clean it after every use. I've put roughly 1000 bb's through it. Today for the first time two things occurred. First thing, my mag released 2 bb's at once and so when the slide racked forwards the gun jammed. Second, I was shooting it and it shot full auto for 3 rounds. My question is, do you think these two things are just random and won't happen again, or is there possibly something wrong that I need to fix/ look at? Also, the gun is new so I don't think the spring would be worn already, but the slide seems like it could cycle faster. Is there an upgrade spring for this? Thanks.

Keep shooting id say..and see if it jams and goes full auto again..you might have to polish down the feed ramp on the hop up unit and check the loading nozzle for any imperfections..if I remember correctly mine did the same thing too..but it only did it once..and I've put a few thousand rounds through it now without it happening again. And I also polished the guide rails on the frame for the slide..that should make it cylcle a lot smoother. And if you can try to stay away from propane..I've only had bad experiences from using that stuff..but if you can't then jus keep it lubed in the right places..

I know this might sound amateurish, but how exactly do you polish everything down? Like what do you use? And also, I use propane for the $ efficiency, if I had the extra cash I'd spend it on green gas but for now, the fact that I can buy 6 cans of propane for the price of one can of green gas kinda sways me.

I use some really fine sandpaper..like 400-600 grit and jus polish the guide rails for the slide on the frame. Don't take off too much..because then the slide will become sloppy..loose, n the frame..polish it jus enough to where it is slick and smooth..

Or if you are uncomfortable polishing the slide rails down you can go with what I use for all my GBB guns.  Super Lube Dri-film.  It's a dry lubricant film that coats metal surfaces for smoother action.  One major benefit is that it's a dry lubricant so it will not attract dirt or dust that can cause cycling issues.  You may want to look that up.

Ill have to look into that too! Thanks for sharing..seems a lot easier.

I have experimented with this can of awesomeness on my lower quality guns, and I am still hesitant to use it on my KWAs. On my AEG gears I have noticed a rust like residue immediately once applied... I can't determine if it's removing the corrosion or causing it. For my GBB, I am not chemist, so I don't know how the dri-lube interacts with propane / green gas and if the resulting interaction (if any) would have any long term detrimental effects on the gun.

I have been using the dri-lube for awhile now and I have not noticed any negative effects. I use it on all my KWA GBB gun slide rails. I even use it on the exterior of the bolt in my LM4. This lube is safe on plastics and I have not seen it to cause rust-like finish on treated metal surfaces.

I must agree with Niko on this.  I have been using Dri-Film with very good results.  In fact, I can now get my ATP to cycle with an enhanced recoil spring with no additional mods with complete slide lock back.  This was not the case before I used the product.
