Having spent the last two days getting to know the Ver2 Gearbox - I wanted to share the issues that I have had and what I found the solutions to be.  I hope this helps others.

1) When opening the gearbox, flip the gearbox so that you see the 3 bearings clearly.  You want the mode selector on the table, and not facing up.  It will also be easier to put the case back together with the side with the selector switch down on the table.

2) a little dab of crazy glue on the trigger spring (where the spring slots into the hole on the trigger, can make it easier to NOT lose that spring).

3) a little dab of crazy clue on the anti reversal latch spring - will really, really make it much easier to get that latch and spring positioned.  to make sure you do not glue this item in place - first remove it from the gearbox, and set aside.  Put a dab onto it, and then let it dry thoroughly.  As Specialist rightly points out - you do NOT want to glue your ARL to the gun itself.

4) When putting the backlash catch in, remove the main gear first.  Once the backlash catch is in place - you can put the main gear back in.

5) when closing the case - make sure that the register marks on the piston cylinder are seated into the slots on the case.  they will also slot into the slots on the other half of the case.  If you find that when you are trying to put the case back together, and it rocks back and forth, and won't shut - this is your problem.

6) at the front of the cylinder - there is a little nozzle (air nozzle) with a plastic tube on it that slides back and forth.  This needs to fit onto the pull back arm (tappet plate).  if not - you will find that when you attempt to fire your gun, you will dry fire, and then double fire two bb's.

I hope this helps others - as I learned the "hard" way during re-assembly and dissassembly of my gearboxes many times in the last several days.

Kevin.
Congratulations on your rookie attempts at getting to and opening up your gearbox.
It takes some guts to try it, and some skill to complete the task.
Good Job!

Thoughts / Suggestions:

Step 1: Yes.

Step 2: Yes

Step 3: Wel now. I am glad your attempt to super glue the ARL (Anti Reversal Latch) in place was successful.
I have done this successfully a few times and not so successful on one occassion. I mainly do this in JG / Echo1 gearboxes. I think I did do this one time in my gen1 KWA gearbox a couple of years ago.
This is risky to do for a handful of reasons. Mainly you do not want glue to over flow onto any of your gears.
The other thing to keep in mind is that you need to use the gun as much as possible over the next couple of days to keep the ARL loose and moving freely. You don't want the ARL  to sit unused at first, and lock in place.
As time goes on and you may store your gun for several months, you might have to fire 5-10 shots to lossen up the ARL at first, before everything is working perfectly.
The thing to remember when doing this, it only needs the smallest of drops of glue to work. The smallest drop possible.
***Tip***If it does not go well yoiur first try, wait for the glue to dry and then use a tool to dig out the dried glue from the ARL post and you can start all over again.

Step 4: Yes. I always install the Bevel Gear as the last step before closing the gearbox shells.

Step 5: Yes

Step 6: Ok. I think what you are trying to say is that the Air Nozzle (Plastic Tub) needs to be secure on the Tappet Plate (Pull Back Arm) otherwise your bb's will not feed......and your gun simply will not operate.

We all learn the hard way, man.
It does get much easier, the more you do it.

Here's a little trick for next time regarding the ARL.  Go and get yourself a strong rare earth magnet.  A disc about 3/'8" across by 1/8" thick will work.  Where to fine such a thing???? Go get a magnificent clip used to close a bag of snacks.  Rescue the magnet from the clip and use it to help hold the ARL in place.  How?  Place on the underside of the gearbox...the ARL will stand at attention for you and life will be much easier.  Trust me it works!

I am going to try this.

It really comes in handy on those non-KWA gearboxes that have crap tolerances and everything just wants to fall out!  With a KWA it makes an easy gearbox even easier!

Or you can just fill the hole where the ARL sits with grease and that keeps it stable enough to close the GB.  This is how I do it.
