After rocket valve mod I agree with boobie.  At 150ft I am consistently hitting a 2X2 ft target with three round burst.  Single shots are even easier.

I'm not getting anywhere near that kind of consistency.  My shots are sloping to the right at least 8 inches at 100'.  175' I can do 1 of 7 or 8 on a 6" x 8" steel target standing with a little windage.  Hopup is either on, or on.  Nice to have so few choices.  Makes adjustment simpler.

I gotta say, stock accuracy is poor.  I think it's all in that hopup.  I have no idea why they decided to reinvent the wheel.  Switching to ball bearing hop soonest with Guarder steel chamber and 6.02.

Gas consistency is pretty good though.  First shot spike is only on the close order of 15 fps at 105 F roundabout.  319 to 298 with .3's over ten shots.

I do...was hoping to find out how well this thing shoots and instead i know whatll fit and what wont.  so anybody got any info on what the op orginally posted?  any mods or different setups that can improve range and accuracy?

Agreed.  Especially since there is another thread created just for compatibility.  I have Changed my oring out for a Danco #10 and have done the rocket valve mod(only ground the front of the head down, not the fin side).  I keep the oring well lubed and have never had any of the dropping bbs issues others have had.  I have a chrono on the way but can tell you I am shooting at a 18"X18" metal square on a tree 160ft(measured) away with ease.

I tested my LM4 on a 5ft by 1.5 ft. box guy, here is what I got.....

100 ft - 5/5

125 ft - 5/5

150 ft - 4/5

175 ft - 1/3 (I ran out of bullets)

When I get some more propane I will put another one up with shots up to 250 ft. however at 175 I noticed my shots starting to drop....

personally from a stock gun, i just use a heavier bb. i personally have only used .28-30"s but i would just personally prefer just using anything above a .30 and just see what happens. also on that note i personally dont care about fps at the moment just ranges. so using a heavier bb is what im personally testing out at the moment. going to the jump to .40 on friday just to see what happens. if it sux then ill just sell them if it wrks im staying with them. in my area its not about fps but range and accuracy. and i use alot of physics to determine my personal results cause everyone gun is different as far as upgrades,wear and tear, green gas vs propane, ect.

question: has anyone here use .36_.40 bb's yet and if so what is the cons and pros of using heavier bb's?
i know that some of you have asian made LM4's out there but im pretty sure the site was kwausa not kwa asia or whatever. most of use are looking for results in usa born LM4's. so as for mods can u plz give us usefull USA born mods to stop gettng some of our hopes up for upgradable parts! thx

Just give the heavier bbs a try in your lm4. Yea the heavier of a bb you go the more expensive the bbs are going to cost. If your hop up can handle it then you got a good hop up unit as some lm4 hop up units cant handle it. If yours cant handle the heavier bbs then it wasnt much of a loss on buying a bag of bbs. The heaviest i use is .30g i get the best range and accuracy with those at 400fps. And imjust a firm believer of a good hop up unit over more fps to get range and accuracy. For example tm hop up units with low fps will shoot just as far as a 400fps rifle. Might take a lil longer to get there..but it gets there. And i must say my hop up mod on my lm4 is solid..

I've tried .36g bbs and that is pushing it. I noticed my hopup dropping when using .36g to much..I wouldn't recommend using anything over .32g. I currently use .3g bb's my self and I'm getting really good results.

What do u mean by hop up dropping? Like the wheel turns or the bb's dropping. With .28-30 I have yet had to use the hop up or turn it up. It works very well with stock settings. So is it smart to replace the hop up unit or just the bucking? If just the buck should I just grab another kwa or does anyone have any suggestions. Something that won't wear down from .30+ bb's. And if its a hot day like it has been in so cal theres a boost in fps from the heat, with that being said range is my main interest with my lm4. The recoil was fantasic compared to the other m4's I've shot, and innovation with the side shooting and wrking well in the cold. Need more mags but picking thoses up on friday:)
