A heavier spring will work the motor harder so it will draw more juice thus your trigger response will also feel sluggish so a 9.6V battery may not be a good option unless you get something with a higher Mah.  A 11.1V lipo would be the best option IMO.

Well guess I'm not going to the game this weekend :( I'm hoping my venom battery will work for me.

trust me if you get a lipo with that setup you will be fine. your motor is just being pushed to its limit with little power from the 9.6.
so once you get your lipo you will be set, don't skip the game bro.

I don't want to skip the game.. i havent been to one in over two months. The, thing is, as  most of you know, i'm 15, so money isnt always available to me. I only have $65 to get a lipo by friday afternoon to be prepared for saturday. I'm going to hit up the place superfrog mentioned and see what they have.

It's fine I run 11.1 1300 mah 20c batteries with no mosfet.  The hobbytown usa in asheville has a perfect battery and they are only 20.
It's a venum 11.1 1300 mah 20 c. And it fits perfect in the butt stock.  You will love it. Probably take 2 days to get to you.
Whta's the website? hobbytown.com?

I cant find that battery on hobby town superfrog! I may end up renting a gun :( I can get a motor easier. Could a high torque motor work until i can get a lipo?

You may need to look at Hobbyking.com. Tenergy nano-tech batteries for $7-$12. But you probably won't get it by Friday.

Call them and ask about the 11.1,1300mah 20c venum battery.
They are 20. Sure they will send it to you.
They keep them for airsofters.

Maybe pick up 2

They come with chargers superfrog? lol. I don't have a lipo charger. Is it not on their website? i dont think my parents want to sit on the phone giving someone ordering details for 10 minutes. Now that I think about it, there is a hobbytown usa store about 45 minutes from my house. I looked at the lipo's the had, but all had to high c's and mah's and didnt have the tamiya connectors.

Many times they don't list all there products.  Yes they sell chargers.  Parafrog in knoxville has them as well.

I just talked to they guy at Cartcon1 Airsoft ( my field that I love.. lol). He has some 7.4 lipos on hand and a charger. He's going to have one charged for me at the field saturday morning. Will a 7.4 work or do I have to use a 11.1. He told me a 7.4 would work.

He also told me I could use a high torque motor instead of wasting two good batteries. Should I use the high torque motor? I like my rof with my 9.6 and I would rather keep them both.

A 7.4 is similar to a 9.6, but it should be fine.  You may have to alter your style of shooting. My son has many kills but he only shoots about 1 or teo high caps a day. He picks his shoots and just simply doesn't spray bbs. Also using 3 rd burst is very effective.  You don't need mosfet either. Set your selector to auto and just give it a quick full pull.
You should be fine.

I think i'm going with a 11.1. I found the g&g bucking set on airsoft atlanta but it was black. Is it the same thing just outdated photo wise?

Unless the discharge rate is high, 7.4v lipos are still noticeably slower than 9.6v nimh. Go with the 11.1v. As for the G&G bucking, you may want to call them up to double check. The G&G green bucking came out like 3 1/2 years ago. The black one is likely to be the previous bucking before the switch.

Info: green bucking is G&G's version of " cold weather proof bucking". Black is standard bucking, no differences though. Im going to order it and see how it turns out.
