Hi guys,

I am in the GBB world for a year now, I started with a KSC M4A1. In the last year I acquired pretty deep knowledge of that platform and with the release of the LM4 I was eager to know what the differences are between the two models.
Finally (and unfortunately from a personal point of view)* I got an LM4 and could compare it to the asian model, as many ouf you call it.

Pictures are going to be posted later. I have not taken any yet.
*(My upper is damaged, need to replace it. Downside of buying a used gun...)

So far:
Not compatible parts:
Receiver - LM4 has got a shorter one (or KSC got a longer one), and that means:
Bolt carrier - is also shorter. That is sad because I can not upgrade it to the lightweight bolt carrier which works great in KSC guns.

Need to verify:
Stock tube is shorter on the LM4, diameter is the same. I need to check if it can be installed onto a KSC receiver or not.
Internal parts look totally the same as KSC ones. Will check it for sure.

Compatible:
Barrel and hopup design is the same. Which means you are good with any KSC compatible outer barrel. (Dytac, Guarder or KSC).
Magazines.

I am going to continue the comparison and take pictures and post them here, too.

Yeah the internals are pretty similar, I have the trigger, fire selector, Nd magazine match from Guarder made for the KSC. Boobie also has the firing pin for the KSC installed in his gun.

The receiver difference was known as the damn ATF haha.

As for the hopup, it depends on which Asia model, as some have the old NS2 style and some have the updated model.

Without access to any of the "Asian" models I can't tell if they will fit on real M4 receivers and vv.

I can tell you for sure that the USA ATF-approved models will not fit.

Yes, the ball bearing type hopup AFAIK is only equipped in the japanese M4 CQB-R and M4 RAS. There are rumors about hopup system being replaced in the new production lines but no hard evidence so far.

Interesting. You have the US version, which is definitely shorter, compared to a regular KSC.. but what about the non-us versions? Will they be the same size I wonder?

You can tell that by pictures, just take a close look at the forward assist. Or at the stock tube, if the collapsed stock is close to the receiver without any gap, then it is shorter. KSC has a gap with the stock collapsed.

I am pretty sure that the shorter receiver is a US only thing, but that is just my opinion.

Looks like a normal lm4 pts to me, but why is it labeled "system 7 two"?

I have that same unit. No idea why it's called the s72.

I have seen New System 2 (ns2) referred to as System 7 two (s72) on several Asian airsoft sites.

I believe this has been answer by KWA staff but I can't find the thread. System 7 2 (S72) is the exact same thing as NS2. It's just KSC vs KWA marketing terms.

With the KSC having a longer BC I'm guessing you cant buy the RA Tech N.P.A.S. drop in BCG and use it in the LM4?

Hello, I'm new here, I am Daeg4 of Spain, but I have a ksc LM4 airsofttaiwan bought, I broke the bolt, but the dealer that Spain and Europe here I can only get from kwa, which is shorter, in the end i bought in airsofttaiwan, but wanted to know if I can put on my kwa ksc an upper without compatibility issues, because I want to do an upper of assault and other exclusive shooter, and I get better value parts here in Spain

hola, soy nuevo aqui, soy Daeg4 de españa, tengo una lm4 ksc pero comprada en airsofttaiwan, el bolt se me rompió, pero el distribuidor que aqui españa y europa solo me pueden conseguir de kwa, que es mas corto, al final lo pedi en airsofttaiwan, pero queria saber si puedo poner en mi ksc un upper de kwa sin tener problemas de compatibilidad, porque quiero hacer un upper de asalto y otro de tirador selecto, y me salen mejor de precio las piezas aqui en españa
