The Heckler and Koch Universal Self-Loading Pistol, also known as the H&K USP, was designed as America’s universal pistol for both military units and law enforcement agencies. It began development mid-1989 and was introduced to the US market in 1993, chambered in .40 S&W. A 9mm version of the USP was adopted by the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) in 1995 and was reissued as the P8. The double stack H&K USP .45 ACP caliber version was introduced the following year in 1996.
The Umarex H&K USP by KWA recreates the aesthetics and features of the H&K USP handgun. It is constructed with a reinforced polymer lower frame and an aluminum alloy slide which are compatible with existing rail mount accessories and holsters. The pistol also features a working decocker/safety lever and ambidextrous magazine release. With KWA’s patented NS2 Gas Blow Back System, the Umarex H&K USP is the ideal pistol for training as well as recreational use.
